SCORES of people, most of them children, gathered at Hope Zoo in St Andrew, last Saturday for the Capri-Sun Family Day of Adventure.
The event was hosted by the Capri-Sun brand — locally distributed by World Brands Services, a subsidiary of GraceKennedy & Company Limited — as part of its annual consumer promotion and activation.
A family spirit permeated the occasion, with patrons huddled at picnic benches, standing by bistro stools and relaxing or laying on the grass.
Attendees included people who entered the trade promotion in supermarkets, winners via the Capri-Sun/World Brands social media sites, students from the Quest Preparatory School (Capri-Sun’s top school in sales), and specially invited guests.
Hosted by radio and television personality Kiki, the day featured zoo tours, petting zoo sessions, rock climbing activities, water slides, video game console station, face painting, spot prizes, live dance competitions, deejay contests, and tag team racing, all leading up to the Capri-Sun treasure hunt that spread across the entire zoo compound.
In-between the activities, the patrons enjoyed chicken penne pasta, dinner rolls with chicken nuggets, hot dogs, cupcakes and other snacks and refreshed themselves with pouches of Capri-Sun that were strategically placed in barrels of ice around the venue.
